Nine - Home menu item hover is sticky

Using Nina template. If i click on a non-home page menu item, then that page is displayed. If then hover over the home page menu item, then the highlighting does not turn off when I stop hovering over it. However if i hover over another menu item it does.

I can't see how to fix this.
