Nina menu width problem

Hi,
I'm using Nina 4 and seem to have a problem with the menu width.
There does not appear to be enough horizontal room for the menu as I can only get 7 menu headings where I need about 8 or 9. The others just get truncated off the RHS of the page.
I think that part of the problem is that the logos and menu are in the same section as opposed to earlier templates where the logos and menus where in separate sections (if that makes sense) is there any way around this with some custom code ?

the developer definitely needs a link to your site

As mentioned, if your provide a URL to your site, we could then provide some custom CSS to style your menu to better accommodate it's items.

Hi Ciaran,
I was able to expand the menu by reducing the size of the logo image, unfortunately the menu still is not wide enough and the Logo is now looking too small.
here are two urls,
The first one is the current website as done using an earlier template. and the second url is the upgrade of the website to the Nina template.

Hi Nigel

To amend try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....

(Edit to taste)

.logo-image.primary-logo-image {

    max-width: 300px;

}

.hornav ul.menu>li>a, .hornav ul.menu>li>span {

    font-size: 16px;

    letter-spacing: 0;

}

.hornav ul.menu .parent-indicator {

    margin-left: 0;

}

Hi Ciaran,

Thank you for the CSS code. It works very well.
However now I have a problem that the background image disappears when you select a sub menu item.
It only happens on sub menus, do you happen to have a fix for this please ?

Hi Nigel

Have you created multiple styles of your template? If yes, could you try reselected the background image on the style for your sub menu items. The currently selected images appears to give a 404 error.

If this does not resolve the issue, may I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Hi Ciaran,
I have not created multiple styles of the template, although I do have a copy in case something goes horribly wrong.
I dont seem to be able to locate where the "bg image for sub menu" is located.
Thus I have forwarded admin login details to you as requested.
