More menu graphic questions

Hi Ciaran,

My client wants to have a little green roof (!) appear over the selected menu item when it has been selected and the page is active. I have looked at the littlesnippets.net site, and snippet #1168 (on page 6 of the menu section) is the nearest, but instead of the line above the text I need to put the roof. Any idea how I can do that. It does not need to fade in/out.
An alternative might be to have a little background image behind the selected menu item...

Any ideas? Preferably to work with Valencia template but that is not critical.

Hi Peter

In what format is your 'roof'? If it is an image may I suggesting posting a URL directly to the image and I will reply with the needed CSS to load it.

Here is my roof! It should appear over the Page 1, 2 or 3 when active (don't bother about hover).

Below is the url for the site, and the url for the roof is /images/scotts/webstuff/Roof.png .

Hello

To amend try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters where 752 is your menu item ID (repeat for each menu item)..

.hornav .item-752::before {

    content: url("https://supportedliving.scottsproject.org.uk/images/scotts/webstuff/Roof.png");

    left: 10px;

    position: absolute;

}

Thanks for the guidance Ciaran, For the benefit of others I go it working as desired with the following code:

.item-nnn.active {
background-image: url("https://site.com/images/image.png";);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: 15px 0px;
}
