Hi!

I am using a Custom HTML module to display a message regarding free shipping in the very top part of the header on my site (http://www.naiabikinis.com). I have added a module class suffix "nomobile" to make sure that this message doesn't display on mobile. However, when I go to the front end of my site, the module class suffix doesn't seem to have taken effect and the module still displays on all devices.

I used this exact same module class suffix on another module (embedded iframe for Instagram feed at the bottom of the page) to create two different modules that would switch displays depending on the device used. The suffix classes "nomobile" and "notablet" both work fine on this module for displaying the IG feed, but it doesn't work at all on the newly created module.

I created a new module position in the Modules>header.php for the new module called "memo", and I noticed it shows up in Inspect Element as a div id rather than a div class like some of the other built-in modules. Do you think this could be related to why the module class suffix won't stick?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Note: I have temporarily unpublished this module because it makes the header of my site unreadable on mobile. I can republish to help troubleshoot this issue.

Hello

Ensure you have placed a space (' ') before the nomobile class suffix (' nomobile' rather than 'nomobile'). If that does not resolve the issue may I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Hi Ciaran, thank you so much for the response. I put a space before "nomobile" but it's still showing on mobile devices.

I'm emailing you right now with temporary admin access. Thanks again for the great service and support!

Thank you Lowell

Your cart module did not appear to be applying the class suffix to your module so I have added the class directly to the surrounding div in your header.php instead and it appears to be now working correctly...

<div id="cart" class="nomobile">
<jdoc:include type="modules" name="cart" />
</div>
