Hallo,
I use the Metropolis template and read all topics about modul class suffix, but found no solution for my problem to get two different links in two different moduls on one page.

In one modul I use the css link:
.sidecol_block .module ul.menu a, .sidecol_block .module_menu ul.menu a, .sidecol_block .module a {
color:#000;
}
and this works normal.

In the other modul, a navigation modul, I tried this:
.blau .sidecol_block .module ul.menu a, .blau .sidecol_block .module_menu ul.menu a,.blau .sidecol_block .module a {
color:#ffffff;
background: rgb(255, 255, 255)url("../images/menu_a.png";);
background-repeat:no-repeat;
height:28px;
padding-top:5px;
padding-left:5px;
margin-bottom:-1px;}
and add in the modul class sufix field, with a space blau, but no change. I thought this is the way you suggest in the tutorials in the chapter:Applying custom CSS to a single Joomla module. I tried it with the custom css too.
So, I need your help.

With best regards
Peter

Hi Peter

Thank you for detailing.

Would you have a URL directly to an example of the issue in your screenshot?

Hi Ciaran,
thank you again for your effort for helping me. But sorry your proposal do not work. You can see the problem on our homepage http://www.sfz-schwandorf.de and then the menu items Unsere Schule/Einzugsgebiet. The Links in both moduls look similar. I would like the Links in the Kontakt modul without background image an simple black color. I attach a screenshot too. When this is not possible, then I put the Kontakt modul only on the pages without sidecol menus.
Thanks again and nice weekend inspite of the war in Ukraine.
Best regards
Peter

Hi Peter

It is difficult for me to understand your request without an example of your modules.

Changing menu item colors might look like this (module class suffix of alternative-menu)...

.alternative-menu .menu li a {
color: violet !important;
}

Hi Cirian,

I use the Nextend Accordion Menu but this is not compatible with php 8. So I try a own menu in the side-col right position. I can not publish the attempts in a school homepage. I am able to substitute the Nextend Menu, but in the second modul on the same page I have a contact link and this looks like the links in the first modul. The links in the first modul have a background-image, which looks weird in the second modul link. Therefore I want use the modul class suffix for the second modul with a simple contact link (a. and a.hover).
I hope you can work with this informations in my simple English.
Best regards
Peter

Hi Peter

Would you have a URL to an example of each of your modules with the module class suffix set?
