Can a virus or malware find its way into the joomla administration files. This whole week I have been getting "outdated browser" type warnings and the browser scrambles my sites when I view them. I run software to eliminate the malware but it keeps coming back.

It seems like it is coming back when I use the joomla administration backend.

If a virus or malware is in there, how do I get it out? What's the best way?

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Paul

It is definitely possible to have your Joomla files infected however from what you have detailed I suspect it to be more of a local issue. Are you getting the same issue on other PCs? Does it look like the warning is appearing within Joomla or is it generated by your browser? 'Outdated browser' warnings can occur if your have the incorrect year set on your PC (I know unlikely but figured it is worth mentioning :) ).
