I feel that I'm over looking something obvious.

I'd like to have several pages that each display a single one column article.
In each page I'd like to control the alignment (left, center, right) and the text width.

I see that an article option is layout, but I can't figure out how to create the layouts that will appear in the list.

My solution is to use com_blank so I can place a custom module on the page.
I adjust the alignment and text width with

.custom {
width: 70%;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
}

The problem is that the css effects all custom modules the same.

Like i said, I'm sure I'm missing something obvious.
