Hi there,

How do I remove ( ~theluxh4 ) from the url:
http://theluxegroup.com.au/~theluxh4/romance
URL Rewriting is selected to "YES"

Hey,

In my Joomla installation I have the following configuration and the URL is build correctly. Maybe it helps.

System > Configuration > Site (tab) > Seach optimizing (SEO)

Search friendly URL: YES
URL-Rewrite: NO
Add Data ending to URL: NO
Unicode Alias: NO
Sitename in title: BEFORE

Hi Emil,

Thank you - I have followed the above - however it now has index.php in the url - http://theluxegroup.com.au/index.php/proposals

Would you have a css code to remove the index php from the url? - htaccess file seems to be ok - .htaccess

Just to let you know that this has now been resolved - I contacted the hosting company and they fixed the problem.

Did the hosting company say how they fixed it? I would ask my company to do the same for my sites.

Hi Emil,

No, I didn't ask but I think it has something to do with the htaccess file, I seemed to have had 2 and also something to do with their servers settings.
