Also, is it possible to change the colour of the green background in this template (to something like light grey) - because it is too strong for what I want - the rest of the design is fine.

You can reposition your logo by adding the following to the end of your templates template.css (../templates/j51_vacation/css/template.css)..

Edit to suit your logo...

h1.logo a {

    left: 10px !important;

    top: 10px !important;

}

This area of the template is image based so you will have to edit this image directly. You will find it located at the following from the root of your Joomla installation...

../templates/j51_vacation/images/bg.jpg
http://demo.joomla51.com/0074/templates/j51_vacation/images/bg.jpg

You will also have to edit the following to the end of your templates template.css where #888888 is your new background color..

body {

    background-color: #888888;

}

I tried inserting that code into the css, but it still isn't making any difference, the logo doesn't change position (have tried several different x and y values).
Maybe I didn't enter the code correctly ?? (see screenshot)

Now its working - I didn't give it enough time to refresh in the browser !

I am not able to change the background colour of the template - I did copy and paste the code to the end of the CSS (see screenshot below) but it still didn't change. - the colour remains dark green, please can you advise ...
