I'm experimenting with a membership login/registration. I've read all of the previous forum threads and all of the tutorial articles that you had recommended.

Looking at the demo site that I have, I see that the login menu is listed as a separator and then there is a menumod-login menu as another separated. under the login menu item. The menumod-login looks like the position thing like is used with the thumbnails. The problem is that I see the Register Today module but I don't see any connection with menumod-login.

I also would like to modify the user registration form, but I can't find where to do this.

Can you get me started in the right direction?

Hi Bill

For details on adding the login module to a menu dropdown, may I suggest the following article.. https://joomla51.com/tutorials/template-extras/adding-a-module-to-the-menu-dropdown

What kind of changes would you like to make to the registration page?

Sorry CiarĂ¡n, I looked for a tutorial, but didn't put 2 & 2 together. Hopefully, this one will do it.

As for modifications on the registration form, I'd want at least the phone number required, and be able to make all of them required not optional. But I think that it would be good to have full access to change it. I looked for a file that I could work on. I know HTML and have Dreamweaver, not so good with PHP, but probably could figure it out. I checked the code and it appears that it is not a file, but in the database.

Update: I found mod_login > default.php is where the code is, right? I don't know PHP worth a bean, but hopefully you have one already dailed in :D If nothing else tell me how to add phone # and make all fields required.

Thanks again, maybe just using Membership Pro or something else is easiest.

Hi Bill

Adding new fields to the registration form is a little different as you are looking to save this data. May I suggest the following video which appears to detail a solution for your query.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AyCzb2vTaU
