Ciaran,

I have a multisite account at Siteground called prgdotcom.com, and in it I have two live sites http://www.gatewaytherapyandsupervision.com and http://www.philiprgroom.com. Clicking on the logo text (not a logo) sends me to the correct home page for the first site, but to http://www.prgdotcom.com instead of http://www.philiprgroom.com for the second. Site Ground say it is a programming problem. I have compared the configuration.php and .htaccess files and there is no difference, and both are using the Boutique template. Any ideas?

Thanks

Peter

Hello

Have you since resolved this issue as your site logo appears to be now linking correctly (https://www.philiprgroom.com/)?

Ciaran,

Strange, that is not my experience. I get a 403 forbidden error, with the following text:

------
If you are the webmaster of this site please log in to Cpanel and check the Error Logs. You will find the exact reason for this error there.

Common reasons for this error are:

Incorrect file/directory permissions: Below 644.
In order files to be read by the webserver, their permissions have to be equal or above 644. You can update file permissions with a FTP client or through cPanel's File Manager.

Restrictive Apache directives inside .htaccess file.
There are two Apache directives which can cause this error - 'Deny from' and 'Options -Indexes'.
_________

all permissions are 644, except configuration.php which is 444 (in both sites). and there are no 'deny from' statement in the .htaccess, and I commented out the Options -indexes' statement with no impact. So I am at a loss!

There is the following log entry: but I did not try to sign in!
------
2017-01-24T14:42:56+00:00 INFO 178.162.211.218 joomlafailure Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.
------

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Peter

Hard for us to say for sure what might be happening when we can not replicate the issue. Is the URL been opened correct?

It might be that I do not understand your question correctly. If you go to https://www.philiprgroom.com you should see the home page. Then select 'current' from the menu, then click on the 'Philip R Groom' logo title, at this point I get the 403 forbidden error. Do you have a different experience?

Thanks

Ciaran,

Thank you for coming back to me and I apologise for using your time. I observe the correct behavior in Firefox and Edge, but not in Chrome. I'll put it down to another bit of Google skullduggery.

Thanks again
