Hello,

I Can not reach all submenu items on Layla template on my windows 11 PC
I have tested with the browsers Edge and Firefox.
The same problem when I use multiple columns in the submenu items.
I have tested this with Joomla 5 and Joomla 6.

On my iPhone and iPad it works perfect and I can reach all the submenu items.

Can I get some support to solve this problem?

Hello,

A link to my live website (Joomla 5): https://www.accordeonfestival.nl

Go to Solisten in main menu:
I see a list starting with 2026 and ends with 2015, so I don't see 2014 and 2013
for 2017, 2016 and 2015 I see not all the sub items

On my iPhone and Ipad it works correct.

Thanks

Hello jacputs,

Thank you for the link. I can see the years 2013 and 2014 in my browser (Firefox and Chrome). What I immediately notice is that the years 2023 to 2026 are displayed larger and have submenus. For the remaining years, which are displayed smaller, no submenus are shown.

Please check the following points:

- Check if the submenus actually have the "Parent Entry = 2013" (not "Main Entry" or another parent item).

- The access level must match the page (e.g., "Public";), otherwise Joomla will build the structure, but the menu renderer/template won't display it. Sub-items from 2013/2014: Status = Published

- Sub-items are located in a different menu - It sounds trivial, but it happens often: 2013/2014 have sub-items that were accidentally created in a different menu. Dropdown menus only work within the same menu structure.

- Menu module/template only displays up to a certain level. - In the menu module (if a module is used for the main menu): Check parameters such as "Start Level" / "End Level" / "Maximum Levels".

Best regards

Hello,

Please use the Dutch version and not the English or German version.
In the German and English version theare only sub items for the years 2023 thru 2026 the rest have no sub items but is an article.

All the sub-items have the correct parent entry.
Of course all the items and sub items have status published.
Start level = 1, end-level = all

Attached is a screenshot:
2013 and 2014 I don't get on my screen.
2016 is incomplete (there are 4 artists but I see only 2)
2015 is incomplete (there are 4 artists but I see onle 1)

So please go to the dutch version https://www.accordeonfestival.nl and click on the menu item "Solisten", thanks.

Kind regards,
Jac

Hi Jac,

Now I understand your problem. Everything displays correctly for me. It's due to the screen and responsive settings. Try adding the following to your CSS custom.

Quickest fix: Make the submenu scrollable

.nav .dropdown-menu,
.nav ul ul {
max-height: calc(100vh - 140px);
overflow-y: auto;
overflow-x: hidden;
}

Best regards

Hello,

Thanks for your help.

I have put the CSS code folowing your proposal, still same problem.
It looks as this is not enough to fix my problem.

Kind regards,
Jac

Okay, then we'll wait for a response from Ciaran.
Unfortunately, I have very little hope that the Joomla51 project will be continued.
