Ciaran,

I have used some of your templates and am happy to see that you are upgrading them to Joomla4.

However I have seen a post from JohnO at Joomlage saying that he is winding down his business and will not be upgrading his templates to Joomla4. He recommends using your templates.

This leaves me with a problem in terms of upgrading to Joomla 4 with Joomlage templates as if I just swap to one of your templates then my customers sites will look fairly different although they will still function the same.

This has got me wondering if there is a commercial opportunity for you. Is it possible for you to liaise with JohnO and upgrade his templates for use with Joomla4? I would be willing to pay a small amount too get a Joomla 4 version of the Joomlage templates, and I am sure that others would be too.

Anyway this is just an idea that I thought would be worth running by you.

I look forward to your comments.

Best regards,

Gary

Sorry Gary. I somehow totally missed this post.

I know John well and was sorry to hear that he had to close the doors on Joomlage. A shame as he has been providing beautiful Joomla templates for almost 10 years. I will certainly talk to him about the possibility of updating his templates to Joomla 4 however it may be some time before we get around to it. We are currently busy updating our own Joomla51 templates to Joomla 4 and considering the vast changes in J4, it is proving to be quite a big task. Certainly we should have plenty opportunity to arrange something before Joomla 3 stops been supported.

Thank you for the suggestion!

Thanks Ciaran I thought it was strange that you hadn't replied as you are usually very good at responding to these forum posts.

I am very pleased that you like my suggestion, please keep me posted on any progress, and I completely understand about the timescales.

Best regards,

Gary

Hi Gary

As we are still in the process of updating our own templates to Joomla 4, I am sorry to say I have not gotten around to looking at updating templates in the Joomlage catalogue just yet.
