Dear Community,

The header image is driving me crazy. I just can't figure out how to design an image so that what I want to show is at the center of the header image on the homepage. I've played around with several sizes and the header min-height, but nothing works predictably to create images for the header image. What is the secret behind this?

Regards, Marek

why don't you use the dimensions of the template demo? (2000x951px) and the Header Image Slideshow. Setup of the slideshow is all done within the templates parameters without the need of any module extension. This has allowed to style the slideshow to form perfectly within the styling of your template. The slideshow is fully responsive to ensure your images are displayed perfectly across all screen sizes and devices.

Hi Marek

Would you have a URL to an example of your header?

Thank you

How exactly would you like the image to be displayed? Currently the image should displayed horizontally centered at all times, cropped so the height remains the same across all screen sizes.

I would like the startpage to look almost like the sample page https://www.joomla51.com/demo/0146/index.php, with an image over the entire width of the page. But no matter what I try or how i edit the pictures I do not get what I need. I also tried to work with the images from the example page, but even with that I can't get a result that looks anything like the example page.

Maybe there is a better template, that is less unpredictable to work with?

Regards,

Marek

Hi Marek

Header images to the Magnolia template can be added via the General -> Body/Header Styling tab of your template style settings. This UI allows you to add multiple images which will be displayed in a slideshow across the header area of your template.
