I bought in September 2020 a joomla 3 RILEY template and I just saw that it is now compatible with Joomla 4 that I just installed.
How do I download the Joomla 4 template update.

The Joomla 4 version of each template is a separate download/purchase to the Joomla 3 version. If you are already subscribed to a template for Joomla 3, we have coupons available which will give you a 50% discount on the Joomla 4 version of that template.

You have got to be kidding me. You folks are going to charge for the updated template? I think i'd rather make a concerted effort to go update all my sites using your templates to a provider who keeps their files up to date after purchase. That's absurd.

Considering Joomla 4 requires a complete re-write of the template, it would be in no way feasible for us to offer this update free of charge. I realise that for some, this may not be ideal however the choice for us was to either close our doors, which many template clubs have already done (eg. https://joomlashine.com/) or place a charge on the update. Our templates are among the most affordable on the market and we do give a 50% discount to previous customers for these updates. We hope that most will find this charge acceptable.

Totally agree with you Ciaran and thanks again for your help in troubleshooting the template. Joomla 51 always responds to messages from their customers to give them complete satisfaction.

It is proving hard to say for sure however currently we are working on the Natalie and Skylar templates and we will continue to update chronologically from new to old.

today I made an side update from Joomla3 to Joomla4 where the J51 Ashley Template for Joomla 3 was installed.

And big surprise: the Ashley template works fine with Joomla 4.0.6.

Only the modules which are delivered wiht the template failed.

Je rejoins cette discussion pour 3 raisons :

1 - pour dire que je suis entièrement d'accord pour que la mise à jour majeure en J4 soit re-facturée, c'est normal vu le travail de développement qu'il y a à effectuer sur les templates

2 - pour signaler que comme je n'ai pas eu de réponse à mon post concernant la mise à jour du template J51 Bianca (ou Blanche), je suis contente d'apprendre qu'après Nathalie et Skylar, ce template sera prochainement mis à jour

3 - pour savoir si un template très original dans son design comme Boss (ou Patron) avec un logo et un menu en position centrale va devoir attendre que tous les précédents modèles aient été mis à jour avant sa sortie en J4 ou si ce design très spécifique peut lui valoir une mise à jour anticipée ?

Je sais qu'il ne s'agit pas d'un post de demande de support technique mais une toute petite réponse à ma question serait bien appréciée !

as i could read several times in the forum, the developers will proceed in the order in which they appear. So first the newest templates were changed and made J4 ready. And then it goes backwards by age... There was not yet a time stamp for every template... You can see which templates are ready in the overview...
