Hi Ciaran,

Joomla 4.0 is arriving and I'd like to know what will happen to my web sites made by Joomla51 templates.
Shall I be able to update my Joomla 3.8 web sites as I did till today? Or shall I have to do some changes to my templates?

Thank you very much.
A nice day
Andrew

Hi Andrew

No. You will however need to install an update to your current template before updating to Joomla 4.

Hi Ciaran,
thank you very much for your reply.
If I like to migrate to Joomla 4.0, must I change the template?

Thank you very much.

Hello

Joomla 4 has a Bootstrap bump from v2.3 to v4.1. This will require an update to the template. As soon as Joomla 4.0 goes to beta (currently still in alpha), we will begin working on making our templates Joomla 4 ready.
