Hi
Working on localhost with fresh j51_nina template.
All was working perfectly.
Upgrading to j5.1: trouble in admin panel of j51imagehover with following error:

An error has occurred.
0 Class "JFormField" not found

Enabling the Backward Compatibility plugin solves the problem.
Could you check the problem:

Environment:
- localhost wampserver last version 3.2.5.3
- joomla 5.1
- php 8.3.0

Hi

I found the problem in the file field/testms.php

Replace original lines 5 and 7 with:

use Joomla\CMS\Form\FormField;

class FormFieldtextms extends FormField {

Now you can disable the backward compatibility plugin.

Regards

Daniel

Hi Daniel,

switching off the b/c plugin is not recommended for Joomla51 templates and extensions on J5 sites at the moment. Remember that these have been made to run under J4.

Wait for Ciaran to provide native J5 templates and extensions before switching off the b/c plugin.

Regards,
Rolf
