J51Avenue issues

Just started creating a website for a real estate agent with template J51Avenue.

My client likes the template but would prefer not seeing the dark horizontal lines at the top and bottom of page http://farmerco.qth.com/scott-s-listings/residential.html. Content for this page is called from an installed real estate extension "Iproperty" as described at http://extensions.thethinkery.net/index.php?option=com_content&;view=article&id=7&Itemid=24 . Other pages such as the home page at http://farmerco.qth.com/scottfarmer.html display normally without these lines. Please advise what I need to do to avoid seeing these distracting horizontal lines.

Secondly, my client prefers his website visitors to be able to conduct a search by MLS number such as the one shown at the top of page http://farmerco.qth.com/. This is a specialized Iproperty module. I attempted to place the MLS Search module in position "Search" but it failed to display since "Search" is not a recognized module position for your template J51Avenue. Please advise the procedures for changing code to create a "Search" module position in the same position as the existing default "SEARCH" located to the left side of the HORNAV .

Could you check your link for us as we appear to be getting a 404 error when trying to access it.

For the search module may I suggest the following post which details how to convert the area to a module position.

Sorry about the link. Please try http://farmerco.qth.com/scott-s-listings/residential.html which displays the various horizontal lines that I was referring to. Also shown on the attached screen shot.

There appears to be a clash in CSS between the template and your property component.

Try adding the follow CSS to the 'Custom CSS' field in your templates parameters.

Thanks Ciaran...

The custom CSS code corrected the horizontal line issue.

However the procedure you provided to change Search to a module position did not work. Perhaps it it only works in the Rendezvous template but not in Avenue template that I have? Any other recommendation would be appreciated.

The method would be the same for both templates. I you wish you can send us temporary FTP and Joomla administration access to info@joomla51.com and we will set up the module for you (reference this post).

A possible cause is that your search position is turned off in your templates parameters (Extensions -> Template Manager -> J51_Avenue -> Search)?
