Hi Ciaran

I am not able to have the Page Headings displayed. The settings are:

«Menus > Options > Show Page Heading = Yes»
«Menu Item > Page Display > Show Page Heading = Use Global (Yes)»

See URL.

Thank you and kind regards
Chris

Hi Chris

May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Thank you Chris

Strangely your menu item is not using the global setting (yes). I have changed the option from global to yes which appears to have resolved the issue.

Hi Ciaran

It's not only the setting «Show Page Heading» that needs to be «Yes» (instead of «Use global) Yes». In addition to that, I need to enter a value to the field «Page Heading». Both is very strange. And unusual with my other Joomla websites. I am going to do some further investigation e.g. do a fresh install of Joomla.

Thank you very much for the moment.

Kind regards
Chris

Hi Chris

Just to confirm that this is a template related issue, could you try enabling one of the default Joomla templates (Protostar) and see if the issue still exists?

Hi Ciaran

this was a good idea. In fact it seems to be template related. As soon as I switch to «Protostar», the page heading is displayed all right, the setting being «Show Page Heading» = «Use global) Yes» and the field «Page Heading» being empty.

Kind regards
Chris

Hi Chris

Thank you for testing. This is something we are going to have to look in to. There appears to be some limitations with Joomla when rendering the page heading outside of the component area and in the template instead. I will run some tests and see if this can be resolved.
