J51_Riley dependency on jquery version

Hi team, we've got J51_Riley v1.1.8 installed, but it conflicts with another component that depends on the newer version of jQuery (3.7). I've tried changing the joomla.asset.json file and adding the correct version of min.js next to the existing 3.6.0 one, but the new one still doesn't load.
Is there anything else I need to change to start using 3.7.1, please?

That's right, I had to remove it from all Joomla installations with a heavy heart.

But that doesn't seem to be wessadex's problem either.

Refrain from using JCH Optimizer! It causes more problems under J5 and J6 than it solves.

Have you installed an optimizer, such as JCH Optimizer or EPB from Kubik-Rubik?

Oh, sorry, I should have mentioned it. It is 5.4.2, and I'm looking at upgrading to 6 soon.
