Hello! I want to upgrade to Joomla 5 or 6.
Do I have to purchase the template again?
I have it for Joomla 4.

The latest download for the Layla template is compatible with Joomla 5 and—with some limitations—also with Joomla 6!

If you purchased the template for J4, you should have version 2.0.0 available to you. Have you checked your profile?

If you want your money back, you need to contact the developer...

Hi,

If you've already purchased the Layla template for Joomla 4, I would first check whether version 0.2.0 is already available under "Profile → Template Downloads", as mentioned above.

If you've purchased the template again unnecessarily, I can certainly understand why you'd want a refund.

Unfortunately, Joomla51 has been experiencing serious support issues for quite some time now. As far as I know, Ciaran hasn't publicly responded in the forum since August 2025. Other customers have also reported unanswered emails and support requests.

Whether a refund is possible would ultimately need to be clarified with Joomla51 or, if necessary, your payment provider.

If you're planning to upgrade the Layla template to Joomla 6, I might also be able to help.

I've already successfully migrated and modernized several Joomla51 templates for Joomla 6 using ChatGPT. They now run natively on Joomla 6 without requiring the "Behaviour – Backward Compatibility 6" plugin.

A similar update might also be possible for Layla.

Best regards,
Marcel
