Hi

I have some pages where I don't publish any module in sidecol A. But still, if looking at the source code sidecol A is there:

<div id="sidecol_a" class="side_margins sidecol_a">

This means, the DIV content_remainder is 75% in width only, instead of 100% (sidecol_a is set to 25%).

Why and how to solve this problem?

Thank you very much!

Patrick

Hi Patrick

Thank you for explaining. To amend may I suggest installing the free Advanced Module Manager (https://www.regularlabs.com/extensions/advancedmodulemanager). This extension has a Hide if empty option for all modules.

Thank you Patrick

You have a number of modules in the sidecol positions with the menu assignment set to all. Have you considered setting these modules to just the menu items where they are required (Menu Assignment tab)?

Thanks Ciaran

These menu modules only display if the menu has 2nd level entries. Looking at the source code shows no menu module if there is no 2nd level menu item. But sidecol_a still shows up.

Assigning the modules to menu items is no good solution (but would work) because everytime a new menu item is added the modules need to get assigend to them. This makes everything more complex.

But it looks like this is the only way...?

I still don't understand why sidecol_a is there if no module is loaded into it.
