Hello,

on my clients website I've put a file favicon.ico in the root of the Joomla directory and in the templates/j51-kaylee directory but no favicon is showing up. What can be the issue?
PS: On the 404 error page the favicon is showing...
Thanks!
Greetings, Ton

Hi Ton

Does placing your favicon in the root of your Joomla installation resolve the issue?

Hello Ciaran,

As you can see in my first post I already did so but without result.
And the funny thing is the 404 page does show the favicon.

Hi Ton

When I try to open your root favivon, I am getting a 404 error which would indicate that it does not exist at this URL.. https://rolvinkelektrotechniek.nl/favicon.ico

Hello Ciaran,

You're right! I fixed it now.
It was Admin Tools that was blocking this.
Now the favicon is showing in Chrome and Edge but not in Firefox.
But this is a minor problem now.
Thanks for your help!
