Hi,.

I think the template J51_Cashmere is beautiful.
Will this be available for Joomla 4 in the future?
If yes, when will it be available for Joomla 4?

Kind regards
Olaf

Hi Olaf

We hope to make all templates currently within our catalogue. We are currently updating our templates for Joomla 4 in order of their release date, starting with the newest first (https://www.joomla51.com/joomla-templates). Currently, we update about 2 templates a week however this should hopefully increase over time.

It has been 2 months since you put Cashmere back on the list to be updated to Joomla 4,

When are you planning on releasing it?

Hello

We are currently exploring the feasibility of updating the Cashmere template for Joomla 4. These particularly old templates, including Cashmere, were initially designed for Joomla 2 and are now over 10 years old. Consequently, the process of preparing them for Joomla 4 has proven to be quite challenging. If we successfully make the Cashmere template Joomla 4-ready, it's highly unlikely that it will also be adapted for Joomla 5 compatibility.

Our current main priority is ensuring full compatibility of our modern templates with Joomla 5.

Hello Ciaran, thank you for your information. I fully understand that your priorities are on Joomla 5. Since I also work a lot with the Astroid Framework, I would like to ask you for permission to recreate the Cashmere template in the Astroid Framework. For me, the Cashmere template is one of the most beautiful templates I know and visually still up to date for me. I would recreate the Cashmere template just for myself and our dog club, but I wouldn't resell it. Would you allow me to do that?
Kind regards

Olaf

Hi Olaf

Of course. In fact, I am happy to make the Cashmere template open source so you are free to replicate (and resell) a Joomla 4 version as you wish. Once we have completed all the Joomla 5 updates and begin creating new templates again, we will create a similar design tot he Cashmere template based on our latest template framework as there seems to be a demand for that design.

Hello Ciaran, thank you very much for allowing me to replicate the Cashmere template. I will not resell the replicated template because I only build websites as a hobby for myself, a few friends and our dog club. Thank you again and best wishes for the Christmas season.
Best regards
Olaf
