Hi Ciaran,

The demo install hangs on this template. I tried changing the ENGINE type to MyIsam but that doesn't work either, checked with hosting company and that hasn't yielded any results either.

Hello

At what step of the Joomla installation is it hanging? Are you having similar issues using a default Joomla download (https://www.joomla.org/download.html)?

It was hanging at the install sample data, I had to ring the hosting company and they somehow got it to work. I do know they mentioned it was a permission issue. All I did was extract a zip unfirst folder then upload the demo zipped file and extract it on their control panel. So I ended up just uploaded the extracted files then it started to work but it hung on install sample data, I then rang the hosting company again and they were able to somehow get it working, I asked for explanation of what they did and I'm still waiting. I thought I'd mention it as you may know. Now I am having another problem with the template, switching off responsive doesn't work the slick menu still remains and everything scales when the window of the browser is made smaller, I don't want to use responsive and I don't want the site to scale (layered slide, grid gallery etc), if you could help with this that would be great and hopefully the hosting company can come up with an answer to the hanging problem.

Regards,
Maol

Please note: To answer your other question, no I don't have any issue when I just installed a standard Joomla installation just the demo installation included in the Ashley Template so far.

Hi Maol

It sounds like incorrect file permissions had been set by the server on the extracted files. Unfortunately it is not possible for us to set permissions within a zip file when extracted.

To resolve your issue try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters...

#hornav {display:block !important;}
.slicknav_menu {display:none !important;;}

Thanks Ciarán, that's great, but I also wanted to prevent the Layered Slideshow and grid gallery from scaling down as mentioned. You will also notice if you go to the link above the menu also disappears when the browser window is reduced in width and I don't want this to happen.
