Joomla 4.1.5, Layla 1.1.4

Hello Ciaran,

thank you for your Layla template - I'm really glad because it set an end to a long and frustrating search.

Unfortunately I fail when trying to change some hornav dropdown menu css settings:

1st and 2nd level: How can I change the background-color of an active menu item?

Edit: done.2nd level: How can I change the text-color when hovering a menu item (actually it changes to white and makes the text unreadable)?

Edit: done. Another question : Is it possible to have only the hornav menu sticky (without the logo position)? I want the sticky part to be smaller.

I found out myself. I'm using now position header-1 instead and hide header main

Thank you
Tom

Some of them, Ciaran, unfortunately not all. As an occasional css-worker I still fail often, need much time and am sure that my 'solutions' are not very intelligent. :(
For instance: formatting active menu entries, that are dividers and have no link. Any help is appreciated...

Thanks Tom

Hi Tom

Could you state one of your menu items as an example?

Hi Ciaran,

on (edit: deleted link) "Organisation" or "Program and offers" on the 1st level of the hornav menu, for instance.

Thank you

Hi Tom

To amend try using the following...

.hornav ul.menu > li.active > * {
color: yellow !important;
}

That works, Ciaran, and is very simple indeed! I must confess that I did not know the use of the * selector...

Thank you for css-lessons and spending your time
