Issues with Sophia Demo Installer

Hi, am having same problem as has been reported previously - when trying to install the template via the demo installer I get these error messages:
INSTL_DATABASE_HOST_IS_NOT_LOCALHOST_DELETE_FILE and
INSTL_DATABASE_HOST_IS_NOT_LOCALHOST_GENERAL_MESSAGE.

The "solution" that has previously been suggested makes no sense to me - I cannot find a superfluous .txt file in the installation directory. Please help.

Basically, as you are not using localhost as the database server, Joomla has created a file in the root of your Joomla installation. By deleting this file, Joomla knows that you are the owner to the site. Have you access to the root of your Joomla installation?
