According to the official Joomla51 website, the Layla template is compatible with Joomla 6.
However, it appears that the "Behaviour – Backward Compatibility 6" plugin still needs to be enabled.
I'm not entirely sure whether your current version (1.1.8) is fully compatible, so I would recommend checking if a newer version of Layla is available.
If you would prefer to use the template natively with Joomla 6, without relying on the backward compatibility plugin, I'd be happy to help.
I've already successfully migrated and updated several Joomla51 templates to work natively with Joomla 6, without requiring the "Behaviour – Backward Compatibility 6" plugin.
So, a similar update should also be possible for Layla.
