Only template installed on a server with joomla 2.5. with no problem, but if I click on a menu item that would display an article I always 404 error category does not exist .... Where I am wrong.

This issue is most commonly caused by incorrect SEF URL settings. May I suggest disabling SEF URLs in your Global Configuration and see if the issue persists.
