Hello,

Re. J51 Imagehover Gallery

This works great for us on PCs where text is revealed over the picture on hover, and then can link to another page on click. On mobiles, where there is no hover functionality, on click it starts revealing the text and then jumps to the link, which loses the beauty of the reveal and leaves the user frustrated that they didn't get to see something completely.

Using the backend of the module we can disable the link, which then on click reveals the text, but were wondering if it were possible to include a link within the revealed text - in essence, a nested link. This would maintain the attractiveness of the reveal and functionality of using it to link to other pages for our mobile users.

Thank you, Michael

Hi Michael

Just to confirm that I understand you correctly, you wish to place a link (eg. a button) within the text displayed on hover (caption)?

Hi Michael

Have you tried placing HTML of a button into the description field of your module?..

Here is a <a href="#" class="btn">button</a>

I tried adding HTML within the caption box of the module, but when this is done the revealed text shows the HTML code as written - see attached pictures.
Am I placing the HTML in the wrong place?

Hi Michael

We may have to create an override for your module to stop the html from been 'cleaned' from your caption. May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to [email protected] and we will examine this issue further. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.

Thank you

We have created the override for you and you should now be able to add raw html to your caption field.

Hello Ciara,
I've the same problem of "cleaned" html in description, using "J51_ImageHover" Gallery.
How can i make that override?
Thank you
