How to insert article into content top-b

Is there a simple way to insert an article into the supplementary content areas in Calibra? I was able to do this using an extension - Blank Module - but thought there must be an easier way to do it. I want to have a permanenet introduction to several category blog pages.

Presuming I understand you correctly this is not possible by default in Joomla however there is a number of extensions available allowing you to add articles to module positions etc some of which may be suitable to your needs.
