How to embed video or new index page

Hello,

I have a video that I want to play as my page opens.

1) Can I create an index page to include an opening video.. like flash.. (if not)
2) Can I embed an intro video into the slideshow module position?

Yes there is a number of extensions available for Joomla for handling video. For a full list of these extensions may I suggest the following URL.. http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/multimedia

Using a module type extension you can place a video in the 'showcase' module position as used by the slideshow.
