Hi Sally

There is no module position available specifically for the languages module however a popular choice is to use one of the header module positions that are available (header-2 - http://demo.joomla51.com/0113/index.php/features/module-positions).

Hi Mara

This issue would not be related to your template but more a Joomla issue. Presuming I understand you correctly, if you navigate to Extensions -> Module Manager -> New, there is no language module available?

That does seem very strange. The module should be listed as 'Language Switcher ' once you click 'New'. Does the folder for the module exist within your Joomla installation (../modules/mod_languages/)?

Hi Mara

Possibly.. have you tried the module labeled 'language'? Labeling may differ on different language packs of Joomla.

If the folder exists but not the module you could try navigating to Extensions -> Extensions Manager - > Discover -> Discover and see if the module is listed to install.

Failing that may I suggest placing a post on the Joomla fourms @ http://forum.joomla.org/
