Hi Ciaran,

I'm trying to improve the Google Page Speed test of my Joomla site with Enterprise theme: https://bit.ly/3gNGZhj
I have already installed and configured JCH Optimize.
Then I activated System - Page Cache plugin and System Cache in Joomla global settings.
Gzip compression is working.

If I see the Google Page Speed report I see woff fonts slow down page loading.
Is there a way to solve this problem and better the score report?
Thank you very much.
A nice day.
Andrew

HI Andrew

One option is to load websafe fonts instead of Google fonts. This will ensure that no woff files are loaded. You will find the websafe listed first in all font selectors in the template settings. Ensure that you change all font selectors.

Hi Andrew

1. Navigate to your template style settings
2. Navigate to General -> Typography Styling
3. Set each dropdown field to Arial (or other websafe font if you wish)
4. Navigate to General -> Logo
5. Set Logo Font to Arial
6. Click Save

Hi Ciaran,

thank you very much for your reply.

I changed fonts from Raleway to Arial without a marked improvement in Google Page Speed.
I think this is due to the fact that the woff fonts are "Fontawesome-webfont".

From template settings --> "fontface settings" I put:
- Load Font Awesome: OFF

Then I saw the Page Speed score got better. The fontawesome icons no longer worked obviously in the layout.

So I ask for you if it is possible to include "fontawesome" in the template and not inline.

Thank you very much.
A nice day

Hi Andrew

Sorry to say the only option to include the FontAwesome font library is inline either from a CDN or locally within the template.
