Hi,
is it possible to hide the main container on the starting page? But only there...
I would like to have just the background image, the logo and main menu to be displayed.
2nd: How can I change the default position of the logo & menu while keeping the same size of the bg-image?
thanks for help,
Romeo

Hi Romeo
1. May I suggest the following forum post on this query... http://www.joomla51.com/tutorials/item/hiding-the-component-article-area-on-a-page
2. Would you have a URL to an example of your logo and details on how you wish to edit it's position?

Hi ciaran,
thanks for support.
Please have a look at
http://87.106.243.239/vin/index.php/de/
to see what I mean.
Page is under construction. So the credentials for accessing the frontend are:
user: romeo
pass: cyx56789
-------------------------------------
your advice:
#container_main {
display: none;
}
didn't work because it left the black margins on top and button of the box.
Also I want the logo bar with language switcher to be displayed a little bit higher on the page.
Thank you for your help.
regards,
Romeo

finally I have found that
#container_main {
display: none;
}
.content_background {
display: none;
}
worked out.
Now I have a clear starting page.
But how can I move the logo and main_menu bar a little more upward?
Thank you,
Romeo

Hi Romeo
To amend try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters where 200px is the height above your logo area (edit to taste)...

Hi ciaran,
it's fine that way. But now the bg_image is cut off.
How can the bg be displayed in total.
thanks,
Romeo

Hello
To increase the header space to display more of your background image try increasing the 'Header Vertical Spacing' field in your templates parameters.

Hi Romeo
Looks like to achieve this you will need to give the div above the header and the div below the header unique class names. May I suggest sending temporary administration access to your Joomla installation to info@joomla51.com and we will make this amendment for you. For our reference please paste a link to this post in your email.
