Hide component area in Artisan template

In the Artisan template, there is not an option in Layout Options to Hide Component. I want to hide the component area on the homepage. I was expecting this feature to be available, as it is in other Jooma51 templates I've purchased (such as Maya).

How can I hide the component area?
