trying to decrease the height of the area above the main menu that contains the logo (left hand side) and a new, custom module (right hand side).

if I edit #container_header { z-index: 10;} and add height:100px it reduces the height of that space decreases but only because the whole site moves up and the menu main menu stays in the same place.

How can I get round this please.
