Hi i am using the J51_specialize Theme and wanted to change the width of the whole template! Not of the column!

But i don't have a field called template width, i only have 3 fields:

Dropdown to choose the structure (e.g. Sidecolumn A + Content + Sidecolumn B)
Side Column A width
Side Column B width

So what do i have to do to change the whole template width?

Hello

Sorry to the template width feature is only available on our more recent template releases. As our Specialize template is largely image based it is not possible to change the template width without editing the background images to match.

Allright, that means if for example i have the background jpg i have to resize it from 1920 width to 1650, right?

And how can i figure out which of your offered templates are "new enough" to have this function included?

There is a number of images used as a background to certain areas of the content area of this template (top menu, slideshow etc) which would need to be edited to match the new content width. These are as follows..

At a basic level to edit the content area width regarding CSS you can add the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters where 1100px is the new width (by default this is 930px)...

.wrapper960 {
width: 1100px;
}

Note that other issues may arise throughout the template as it was not designed to allow the extended width however in most cases these issues could probably be fixed with some CSS.

All templates released since our Substance template allow for the width to be extended from within the templates parameters..
