Hi - I'm not sure why things are acting up but I'll try to explain as clearly as I'm able.

Image 5 & 6 are menu items Interviews and Books. Both are Article Blog layout and both are behaving as expected. :D

Image 4 is an article from menu item Articles. It is displaying correctly however the URL is wrong. The URL should be http://domain.xx/articles/article-name but it showing home.

Image 3 shows the display for the Articles blog display. What I want/thought I had specified was the right module position area to be Side Column Setting C-S-S or single column. It seems to be displaying double width. (J51_Hayley6 - BG Single Side Col)

Image 2 shows an article view (Articles blog section) with an incorrect URL as also described in image 4, but also the head scroller and other items from the home page. I have checked these various modules and they are only set to display on the home page.

Image 1 shows Services - this is also utilizing Article Blog to display the options. What's happening with the post image sizes? They are all the same size images used.

Many thanks for your help and patience ghost hunting these hiccups. I'm not as familiar as I'd like to be with your templates yet but learning all the time.

I assume this is your homepage.. http://barryg.amgraphix.ca/home ? If you navigate to Menus -> Main Menu and set your Home menu item to home (click star under 'Home' column) those this resolve your first issue?

Image 1 shows Services - this is also utilizing Article Blog to display the options. What's happening with the post image sizes? They are all the same size images used.

To amend you can add the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....

.blog-alternative .item-content {

    width: 100%;

}

I'll add it but it doesn't make sense to me that it is only happening in this one area and will this override not affect the whole template?

The reason for the varied width is due to the layout not considering that some items will have less than a single line of text in the content area. What this CSS does is makes sure the content area of each item is the max possible width regardless of the content.

I think this is where you meant to post the Adv Module Mgr comment from the link images post.

It still doesn't make sense though. Images below - 1 shows a home page item but that is also showing up on the Articles blogs. Image 2 shows that it is not selected to show on Articles at all on any level.

I don't know how bringing AMMgr to this will help.

This behaviour isn't consistent with the other blog format article displays I created. The menu item "Articles" was "blog" off the quickstart.

Yes the Advanced Module Manager extension would resolve this issue. The reason your modules area displaying is because your articles are child items of your homepage and have inherited the homepage module assignment. Here's the rub Ciaran - I don't want/never did want my articles to be child items of my home page. I just want regular articles with a normal URL structure of http://website.com/articles/blogpost

Hey Ciaran

Thank you so much for your assistance yesterday. What a pain with the new router indeed but a handy work around I think.

Rather than Advanced Module Manager I used Articles Anywhere to place the articles on the home page. While this method doesn't automatically default to the newest posts it does allow my client to choose the most important articles to highlight. Should we eventually want the other functionality I will use another method as I typically do on my sites.

I sure appreciate your help and am loving the look of the site as is my client.
