To edit try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS) (edit to taste)...

.blog .items-leading > div {

    margin-bottom: 60px;

}

    margin-bottom: 40px;

    background-color: white;

    padding: 20px;

}
