In the tutorial: http://www.joomla51.com/tutorials/item/adding-google-an
it states to put the code in the header, (from the custom code panel) but doing so made everything above the body disappear.

I have been used to putting it in the body (with my html sites) so tried that. And that worked. Is there any danger in putting it there??

Thanks

Hi Glen

No what you have done is perfect. The tutorial is a little outdated. Although it should still work, Google now recommends to place it just below the opening body tag.

The opening body tag of your template can be found in your templates index.php (../templates/[YourTemplate]/index.php).
