Hi,
i try to use your classic template for our companys new website and i would like to pin the footer to the bottom of the browser if the pages content isn't high enough. But i don't want a fixed position as mentioned in this post:
http://www.joomla51.com/forum/8-commercial-templates/5704-renovate-fixed-footer#12183
The footer should still be at the bottom of the main content and not fixed on the bottom of the browser.

I did this once before and the html/css look somewhat like this:

But i tried some custom css and still coulnd't find fitting classes/ids in this templates to do as i please.

Kind regards
Lisa

Hi Lisa

Would you have a URL to an example of your footer?

Hi,
i'm sorry but i can't find a proper example on the internet. I just like to set the height of the whole content of the page at 100%. This way the footer is never in the middle of the browser even if the articel would be just about 30% high. But the footer still just says at the end of the articel and not pinned to the bottom.

This is how the site looks like withouth css changes:

as you can see, the footer is just in the middle of the browser.

With a fixed footer it looks just like i want:

But a fixed footer causes me problems with scrolling content. 'cause it sticks to the bottom of the browser:

I still want it to be at the end of the articel, like this:

I hope you understand what i'm talking about. And i know that i can get this result by setting the whole content of the page at minimum 100% height and margin the footer up a little bit. If i could add my own <div></div> around the html body, that woulnd't be a problem.

Due to the div structure of the template this is not really possible. One work would be to set a min-height to your content area therefore always pushing your footer to the end of the browser regardless of the content. To do so simply adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (edit to taste)..

#container_main {
min-height: 600px;
}

That's a pity, but still thank you very much.

Kind regards
