Hello Ciarán

I am not sure whether this is a template or Joomla problem and it is probably blindingly obvious to the more experienced.

If I change font face settings or font colors from the Letterpress template styling settings I get more than expected:

[ul]
[li]Changing body font face also affects the drop down menus and any h1 headings[/li]
[li]Changing Article head font also changes h2 headings[/li]

[li]Changing body font color also changes h1[/li]
[li]Similarly Article title color changes h2[/li]
[li]Module title color also changes h3[/li]
[/ul]
I would like to be able to independently change the font and color of the various headings (h1 - h6) and the body text.

I presume this means adding to the custom css box.

Would you please give me (a relative novice) an example or two to play with or tell me if my assumption is way off?

Link - not really relevant but I'll give access to my test site if needed
Joomla v 3.2.3
Screenshots n/a
Browser Firefox 27.0.1
Not on a local host
Probably template specific since these settings are not accessible in default Joomla templates

Regards

Mike

Hi Mike

In Joomla, article titles use H2 headings, and module titles use H3 tags which is basically what is been set within the templates parameters. For headings where no color is set the default body color is then used. Regardless you can set your own colors by adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters, editing to your own taste. This CSS will not effect your article/module titles..

.maincontent h1, .module_content h1 {
color: #000000;
}
.maincontent h2, .module_content h2 {
color: #000000;
}
.maincontent h3, .module_content h3 {
color: #000000;
}
.maincontent h4, .module_content h4 {
color: #000000;
}
.maincontent h5, .module_content h5 {
color: #000000;
}
.maincontent h6, .module_content h6 {
color: #000000;
}

Many thanks Ciarán

I assume that the same principle can be used to assign separate fonts to each heading as well?

Hi Mike

Yes you can use the same selectors to edit the headings as you wish.
