Font awesome issue

Im working on my site with a template i downloaded. ( http://www.websiteengineer.nl )

My issue =

When im loading font awesome into my menu bar as seen by menu tab: Home you will notice that the house / home icon is nearly visible

how do i get the font awesome visible so people can see it easier / better.
