Florence does NOT install

I've followed the directions to the letter. Florence with demo data does not install. Installation folder is empty. 500 error. Very annoyed.

ETA extracted into /dev folder. Installation folder is populated however still 500 error.

Any help would be appreciated.

500 errors are usually related to incorrect file and folder permissions on your server. For details on correct file permissions when setting up Joomla may I suggest the following article.. https://docs.joomla.org/Verifying_permissions

Thank you. Yes permissions were set incorrectly on some extracted files including the installation ones. I corrected them all and it worked.
