We just updated from Joomla 3 to 4 and are using the Layla template. On our category blog pages, we are seeing "Expired" displayed above the article content:

https://dianec69.sg-host.com/sharedsolutions

Code shows:

<span class="label label-warning">Expired</span>

We are not seeing it when using the Cassiopeia template:

Hello

The latest version of our Bianca and Layla should both delete all old overrides on install. We have noticed however instances where this does not happen which appear to be related to server permission within Joomla. A sure-fire way of getting around this is to delete the ../tempates/[YourTemplate]/html folder and re-install your template.

Problem solved!

I cleaned up folder: templates/j51_bianca/html/layouts/joomla/content/
I deleted everything else but 'intro_image.php'. Rest of the files were leftovers from template's J3 version.

Maybe this is the issue with Layla too?

This is interesting. I just noticed that it depends on site language if "expired" is visible or not.
So, maybe the problem is in language package...

** UPDATE ***

No problems with language package. I forgot that another language had custom css that hides

<span class="label label-warning">Expired</span>

Hello,

I can confirm this with Bianca and Hayley templates.
It doesn't matter are you logged in or not. "Expired" text is visible when "Finish publising" date/time is not set in the article settings.

Hello

Have you since resolved this issue as the expired notice appears to be no longer displayed? If not, is the notice only present when logged in (admin)?
