Executive 3 Template - Problem

I recently updated my joomla 2.5 site to Joomla 3.4.3. The template originally used was the Executive 2.5 version.

I have installed the Executive 3 version and when I view the site I now receive this error:

Strict Standards: Non-static method JApplicationSite::getMenu() should not be called statically, assuming $this from incompatible context in /home/website/public_html/templates/j51_executive/php/variables.php on line 8

Strict Standards: Only variables should be assigned by reference in /home/website/public_html/templates/j51_executive/php/variables.php on line 8

Strict Standards: Only variables should be assigned by reference in /home/website/public_html/templates/j51_executive/php/variables.php on line 9

CAN SOMEONE IN SUPPORT HELP RESOLVE THIS ERROR?
