how can I prevent in the Everly Template the background to get dark when hovering over the menu?

To amend try adding the following to the Custom CSS field of your templates parameters (Extensions -> Templates -> [YourTemplateStyle] -> Custom CSS)....

.hornav > ul > li::after {

    display: none;

}
