Hi Plive,

I almost always use the J51 demo-installers with my sites.

I was trying to track down where an error was coming from the other day and set up a new install of plain Joomla, no demo-content, external templates or other extensions in the hope that if I gradually added the extensions I was using on my proper site I would be able to see where things were going wrong (I think the plain Joomla fresh install package was Joomla 3.8.6) .

When tried to I set up the plain Joomla package I got a similar error message to you and additionally a Joomla message about having to delete the Joomla text document from the installation folder before being able to complete the install, as a protection to ensure that it was someone with proper access to the hosting account who was doing the install...

I don't think it is J51 templates.

Hi Ciaran,

no, the file is not included in the zip-file. The txt-file is obviously generated during the installation of Joomla.

Hi Obi

Do you find the txt file present if you unzip the demo installer locally?

Same error:
INSTL_DATABASE_HOST_IS_NOT_LOCALHOST_DELETE_FILE

with Sophia 1.0.7 demoinstaller

easy fix though (thanks to pcandsat )
delete the .txt file in the installation folder on the server (the .txt filename began with _Joomla ).

Hi Ciaran,

My extraction software is crashing every time I try and extract the J51_Naomi_DemoInstaller zip locally, so perhaps one of the others can answer...

BTW that text file is created in the J51_Naomi_unzip1st folder when unzipped.

Hello

If you extract the demo installer locally, does this text file exist?

I suspect this is a log file added by the server upon extraction.

Same with Naomi (Feb 2019), deleted the .txt file in the installation folder (the .txt filename began with _Joomla ).
Installation was fine after that.

I had the same problem with "Juliet". There was a .txt in the directory installation. I deleted that, now it works ;)

Hi Patrick

This appears to be a database connection issue. Can you confirm that you are using the correct connection details for your server and database? Have you other Joomla installations working on this server that you can check the configuration.php
