Hi,

I wanted to have the ability to display the latest articles (not just a list) of a specific category within a module. The "mod_j51news.zip" module appears to be the solution.

However I tried to install it into the "Creative" (packaged demo) template and received the errors
"
Warning
JInstaller: :Install: File does not exist /home/Test/domains_testing/test/tmp/install_582f0b23b034b/aw_news.css
Module %s: Could not copy files from the source.

Error

"

Btw. I used the mod_j51news.zip extension from the Serenity Template.

Could you please advise how I can get the mod_j51news.zip extension module working within the Creative template?

Many thanks,
Marc

Hi Marc

This was an issue with the module on the original release of the template. This issue has been amended by a recent update can be obtained by re downloading your template from your 'My Downloads'.

Hi Ciarán,

I'd like to confirm, the new version of j51news module successfully installed into the Stockholm template.

However, the one remaining issue I have - the button hover effect for j51news items, is not the same as the Stockholm template.

What is the best way of updating the css so the news items make use of the same hover effect?

Many thanks,
Marc

After some further experimentation, the following mimics the "Brown" button hover effect from the Stockholm Template:

.newsitem .btn:hover {
background-color: #b8956d;
color: #ffffff;
}

However, the button background colour on the Stockholm template is driven from the template "Button Hover Color" configuration.

Is there anyway I can amend the above CSS to reference the template's configured "Button Hover Color", rather than 'hard coding' the colour in the custom CSS ? I.e. if I change the button hover colour in the Stockholm template, the above CSS would automatically pick up the new colour?

Many thanks,
Marc

Hi Marc

Would you have a URL to an example of your News module?
